This was her first Australian cruise since her refit. No cruise is perfect & this was no exception. The staff were wonderful as always, although we did find that those in Guest Services generally have no idea. There seemed to be alot of new crew on this cruise, so some were quite vague on what they were ment to do...It also seemed that the crew numbers were abit low for some areas, particularly drink waiters on the pool deck. They were few & far between & you generally had to wait quite some time for your drink. We have previously sailed on Carnival Spirit & the food in the MDR was impeccable, Sadly that's very far from the case for Voyager. The waiters tried their best, but the food quality was extremely poor.
The entertainment was pretty good, though the final sea day was abit of a let down. We did really enjoy the Dreamworks parade, best to grab a spot well before it commences.
I have to mention that the new restaurant Izumi is worth the visit. The food was brilliant. We are booked to travel on Explorer next year & will happily do so. We did enjoy the cruise & made some new friends, but not sure i'll be racing out to book another one on Voyager, not for awhile anyway. We might explore other options.
Standard balcony cabin.Though when it was windy (most of the cruise) the balcony door vibrates. It took us until about day 6 before we worked out a way to stop it.
