St. Marteen - We booked privately with Capt. Bob (Souliga Tours) for a boat cruise around the entire Island. We were the only ones with Matt on his cigar type speed boat. It was fantastic. We stopped twice to snorkel, a couple of swim spots, another spot for lunch (very good) and also at Maho beach to see the planes very close overhead. We would highly recommend this excursion.

St. Maarten

St. Thomas - A few of our group chose to just walk around the Marina at the Port (Havensight) and through the shopping mall, one went scuba diving with NCL (good), a few others took a taxi to town to shop. Four of us hired Stanley, a private taxi driver to take us on an "island tour". Stanley was great. He took us many popular spots for great views and told us lots of interesting things. After two hours, we ended up at Secret Harbour beach where we could stay as long as we liked to swim, snorkel, have lunch etc. We did snorkel and enjoyed a good lunch reasonably priced, right on the beach. We had Stanley take us back to port in time to wonder through some of the shopping there.

Nassau - Four family members had the best scuba experience (through NCL) My brother who has snorkeled 300 times, rated this as one of the best he has ever done.They did two dives and were impressed by not only what they saw, but by the professionalism of the master divers.Three of us chose to walk from the Ship to the Straw Market and then down to Junkaroo Beach and the Fish Fry. As you walk away from the pier, you will be hounded by locals trying to convince to take their tours etc. The straw market is about 50 or more little booths with basically the same thing. The Beach is nothing special.... but is was an easy walk and free. The Fish Fry is a street with several restaurants specializing in seafood.... mostly conch fritters and conch salad. We had both at Twin Brothers and it was excellent. The greeting of the NCL staff as we came back to the Ship was fun and energetic. People going back to the ship next to ours were intrigued and wanted to join our party.

We had two adjoining Balcony cabins which worked well for the 5 of us. There was plenty of room for everyone and their things. Our adult son did sleep on the pull out couch which was made up for him each night, but said it wasn't all that comfortable. Probably okay for a child. Loved the balcony and location of our cabin close to stairway and elevators and only two floors below pool deck and buffet.
