We chose this sailing out of Canaveral because this was the best week for us and we preferred to do the Western Caribbean (having done so on Liberty of the Seas last year but missing Falmouth due to weather). As many know the ship was sailing with only 2 of the 3 propellers functioning which slowed down her speed (and added to some noise and virbations the first two nights), We made Falmouth and got to take the food tasting tour from the heritage society that we missed last year, but due to the ship having to return to Grand Cayman due to a criticallyl ill infant, we missed Cozumel. While I realize many came to the ship from far away places and were disappointed, an infant's life was saved and rather than attack the captain or the line claiming that if the third propeller had been functioning we might have been able to make up the lost time, they should hail the captain as a hero for making the right decision. Life comes first.

Though the food was unremarkable and our cabin quite tight (we had an inside and the size of teh bed negated our being able to get on the bed rom the side), the entertainment (ice show, and musical numbers in particular) was quite good (though I fear the humor of the comedians went over the neads of many of the guests) the week was pleasant. I have never seen an Executive crew so available to the guests, not just for photo ops but for Q&A almost daily. My only real complaint was that the ladies steam room didn't smell quite "fresh". Would I sail Royal again? Probably though when doing so I truly miss the thermal suites found on HAL, Carnival and Princess, but that's because being South Floridains we do the Caribbean to relax and the destination is seconday.

Cabin L

Adequate somes it up. We do little more than sleep in it though if it was a foot wider we might have been able to access the bed from either side rather than the foot.
