My son and I went on this Princess Regal Cruise together, the first cruise for both of us. Everything about the ship and the food and the service was astoundingly good! From the moment we walked onto the ship and for the rest of the week, we were continually amazed and impressed with what we were experiencing. First of all, the ship itself is just breathtakingly beautiful. The dining rooms, the piazza, the theatres, the pool areas and outside seating were all so lovely. The first thing we did after putting our suitcases in our room was go to lunch at Alfredo's. We sat right by the window and enjoyed the most delicious lunch. Then for the rest of the afternoon until sailaway we just wandered about the ship, marveling at how lovely it was. Sailaway was an exciting time, with the deep ship's horn playing its haunting little tune and then a big party started up by the pool with lively music.

Every evening we had anytime dining in one of the two dining rooms, where the service was superb and the food was just extraordinarily good. For breakfast, we went up to the buffet, where we got to choose from a huge number of delicious items. The buffet is at the top of the ship and there are nice big windows all along so you can sit there and drink your coffee and look out at the ocean. All the waiters were so sweet and kind to everybody, so eager to make us happy.

We really enjoyed the two formal nights, getting dressed up and seeing the other passengers dressed up too. The entertainment was wonderful, and Ron Goodman, our Cruise Director was such a warm, friendly man. He really helped make it a fun cruise.
