I took my dd(20) on this fabulous cruise for 7 days. We were treated like royalty. We arrived the day before and stayed at the Sleep Inn in FLL. We ate an very good italian dinner across the street from the hotel. The hotel was very nice. They had a free shuttle from the airport and to the ship. There is a Walgreens next door which we used twice for various items. The hotel also offered complimentary breakfast which was only a few items but it was okay.
We left for the ship at noon and it only took about 20 minutes for us to get into our cabin once we arrived at the port. They move you quickly thru the line. Our steward was there to greet us. He took very good care of us. We got egg crates and we thought the beds were comfortable. I loved sitting on the balcony looking at the ocean and reading. That was one of my favorite things.
I thought the food was very good. The buffet at Horizon's court had a wide array of choices to pick from. Sometimes I didn't know what some of the food was. They had a number of international dishes. We only ate at the buffet for dinner one night and we didn't care for it. It was all German food like brats and sauerkraut. We had anytime dining. The first night we sat at a table with other people. They were two couple who were very nice and we ended up seeing them frequently thru out the week. After that we got a table for two in the dining room ( my dd's choice) They served a wide menu of gourmet food that was delicious. We had sirloin steak, lobster tails, swordfish, prime rib,and many other things. You had a ton of choices. We had dessert every night and we were never disappointed. The souffle was wonderful.
