This was the 11th cruise for my wife & I, aged 36 & 40 & we have sailed Carnival previous times but not out of Australia.

We flew into Sydney the day before & stayed at the Marriot Circular Quay. A nice hotel within walking distance of the port. My mobility is currently limited & I use a walking stick a lot of the time, however at the Port I had the staff wheel me on board in a wheelchair which meant we could bypass a lot of the lines and went straight to our room at about 2.30pm.

We love Carnival Cruises as an overall value for money package overseas & we were originally a little worried as to how they would go here in Australia. Well, we were very pleasantly surprised that it was still the Carnival we know to us! The ship was nice & clean & very easy to get around. The food was nice, not great but more than ok. The entertainment in the main theatre & comedy lounge was fantastic, & the crew were very friendly. We had a huge balcony cabin on deck 5, in fact the largest we have ever stayed in & the extra room was appreciated.
