We had such a wonderful time! We decided as a family of four + grandma to take a last minute cruise the week after Thanksgiving and were able to book rooms for right at $400 a person after all the extra taxes and such. Unfortunately, because it was last minute, we were not able to get a room together, but had to book 2 rooms far apart. It worked out okay, though. The water was rough and there was more motion sickness than we had experienced in our last cruise. My husband and my cabin was far aft so our room had more motion than grandma and kids room in middle of ship. I was surprised how much room there is in the bathroom- much more than the last time we sailed (Carnival Inspiration). No need for the over the door organizer, there was plenty of counter space.

Ports were amazing! Swam with dolphins in Honduras- could not have been more exciting! Also, spent some time on a with a local tour going to a little zoo and interacting with several monkeys and birds. In Belize, toured Altun Ha and the absolute highlight of the whole trip- cave tubing! We went with cavetubing.bz and found them to be superior to all of the other companies. Again- AMAZING. It was the most beautiful and serene place in the world. Only regret is that I didn't have a waterproof camera. It is a leisurely float and there is plenty of time to take photos. In Cozumel we went to a ray farm of sorts and swam with rays, then just spent the rest of the day doing some shopping in the port- there are plenty of stores to keep you busy all day there.

The Carnival Magic is decorated prettier than some other ships. Colors are ocean themed and beautiful. Kids adventure areas and sports complex are bar none. Water slides are awesome, movie screen over the pool is nice. We loved hanging out in the hot tubs on the sides of the ship. Kids didn't really love the kids programs, but they did offer them a chance to make some friends. Both kids (11 and 10) made friends and then spent most of the cruise not in kids clubs, but hanging out at the pool with the friends they met there. Also, we had such a great time at the comedy club- George Lopez has hired some great comedians! We sat on the front row twice and the comedian pulled our kids into his act both times! Also, had an awesome time at the piano bar, even got the kids in on the reveling!
