We are first time Princess cruisers after 26 Celebrity cruises. We took this cruise to explore other options beyond Celebrity .Our goal here is to describe the Princess product as compared to the Celebrity product. We sailed the Royal Princess. This is a 3600 pax ship comparable to the Solstice Class ships. It is 17 months in service, which is comparable to the Reflection.

We took a 5 day cruise to Princess Cay and Grand Turk Island, both Princess dominated properties. This 4 day itinerary is new to Princess as they usually have cruises for 7 day or more.

The ship embarked and debarked from FLL.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

The Mini Suite Cabin was a pleasant surprise. It’s 8 ft deeper than a Standard Solstice Veranda Cabin. You get a sitting area with a couch and a second 50 inch flat screen. Plus you get a tub in the spacious bathroom. You can actually soak in the tub. The closet is compartmentalized and the little hallway that is created can be used as dressing area. The closet and bathroom make a nice buffer to quiet down noise from the hallway. Very few public announcements were made, like Celebrity.
