After a few recent cruises with P & O we had become disenchanted with cruising, though we weren’t sure if it was cruising or P & O that was the problem, so we booked with a different cruise line and as the date of our Celebrity Century cruise approached we experienced a mixture of excitement and trepidation. It didn’t take long however for us to learn it was clearly P & O we were disenchanted with and to fall in love again with the cruising experience.

Perhaps it would be fair to point out some of the things which had driven us to hesitate about booking another cruise after 4 recent P & O experiences.

The first of these cruises had been fine – we went on the Pearl to the South Pacific for 9 days in an interior cabin and enjoyed it enough to book for a trip back there on the Jewel a few months later.

Deluxe Ocean View with Veranda

Cabin 2A

For a ship about to be sold off, the cabin was in excellent order - better than many on P & O ships still in service!
