Sail Date: Dec 2014

This was our first Costa Cruise, eighth with six different cruise companies.

Embarkation was extremely efficient. From arriving at the terminal, we were on the ship and in the cabin within half an hour. First impression was excellent. The ship is very grand, nicer than the Queen Elizabeth, whilst our room an inside cabin on deck two was very high standard

Unfortunately our experiences on our first exploration of the ship were not good and this marred the rest of the trip. We went to an advertised Greek Mythology quiz. We always partake in and usually enjoy such activities. There was only a few people there speaking different languages. No problem we thought. However, we could not understand the English pronunciation of the entertainment staff member. He read out the questions several times in other languages and gave multiple choice options. He read the question in English once and did not always give the multiple choice. He knew we were struggling, we even asked him to spell out the word once. He wouldn't and did not care. We had no choice but to leave after about the fifth question.
