My husband scheduled a cruise on Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas months ago while we were on another Royal Caribbean (RC) cruise. The cruise on the Quantum was our seventh cruise, so we are not experts, but not novices either.

The Cruise Terminal at Bayonne is greatly improved from the last time we were there. The buses to the ship are gone. Instead, an escalator takes you to a covered ramp that leads right to the ship's fifth deck.

RC changed the way they register passengers. You approach a person in a blue sweater carrying a computer tablet and sign in with them. You will need your RC paperwork. We had emailed our photos to RC and they were already on the tablet. We then walked through security. We were on the ship in less than twenty minutes after parking the car. This was better than long confusing lines, waits for pictures, and waits for clearing security.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

The cabin was larger than I have had in the past, even though they are the same class. There is adequate storage.
