Just went on my second solo cruise. Found Norwegian Epic searching for ships with studio cabins. I was not disappointed at all. The cabin had enough room for one. Shower and toilet room were tight, but large enough for me. Favorite highlights from the trip. Embarkation was super fast, with friendly staff. Entertainment was top notch. I actually liked the entertainment around the ship as good or better than the "main" entertainment. Though Blue Men was great too. Highly recommend checking out Jim Capik (guitar), Howl at the Moon, and Fernando Vazquez (piano and vocals). I had no problem finding deck chairs but am not one to be right by the action. Plenty of seating in the cafe, just avoid the times of highest volume- 8 am, noon, and 5-6. Literally a half an hour earlier or later makes a huge difference. Nice gym with plenty of machines- treadmills, elipticals, and bikes (plenty of each) plus weight machines, classes, etc. Specialty restaurants were very good. I only ate once in a main dinning room, but heard others complain about them (only complaint I heard). Especially loved Cagneys and Moderno. Opportunities for various groups to get together and meet (singles, Lgbt, etc). I was most impressed about not feeling lonely as a solo cruiser. Staff was very friendly with me and engaged me in conversation. Also, I chose not to buy the drink package and was treated exactly like other cruisers who did, which was lovely. On another cruise line I tended to be ignored because I didn't have the "sticker" which means staff have to make extra effort to take my card and write up a receipt. Bravo! I will cruise with this line again just for this reason alone. I'm not a huge drinker, but when I want a drink, I want to be waited on and not ignored. I had an overall great experience.
Love it. Cool lighting. Plenty of storage in closets, around vanity, and under the bed. Bring extra hangers.
