We've had some less than stellar experiences with MSC, but decided to give them another chance. We're so glad we did. The Divina is the most beautiful & elegant ship we've been on (& this was our 14th cruise). We were also extremely impressed with the entertainment. All of the productions were exceptional, but the show featuring fully staged excerpts from "La Traviata" and the one featuring fully staged "Beloved Arias" blew us away! We also enjoyed the live music venues throughout the ship. These included a variety of musical genres, ranging from a classical trio to jazz to smooth piano to country -- but all well done & enjoyable. The food was good to very good. The buffet included a wide variety, and it was always possible to find a table. Overall, their pastas & pizzas were quite good (as expected on an Italian ship), soups & beef dishes were variable. We also liked that our fellow passengers were a diverse group, including more than 69% who were not from the USA. My husband appreciated that he could get a newspaper delivered to our cabin daily (not possible on most ships, he's found). This was the first cruise on which our cabin steward did not introduce himself to us. In fact, we only saw him once when we returned to our room while he was still cleaning. However, our cabin was well maintained and clean. We also appreciated that most areas of the ship were designated "smoke free," though our neighbor seemed to think that did not include cigars.
We will certainly consider MSC for future cruises.
