We enjoyed this ship very much. Liked the smaller ship atmosphere. Did the buffet and not the dining room this time, because we wanted to be totally informal and to get away from menu-driven meals this time around. Buffet was great. Inside stateroom was great - roomy bathroom - loved the shower with the curb so that water didn't run all over the place. Our stateroom attendant, Marcelino from Goa was fantastic - the best we have ever had on any cruise. He really cared about our comfort and went well beyond the line of duty to ensure that we had everything we needed. We have a no-elevator rule (to keep our weight down) and we went from deck 2 to the buffet at least 3 times per day. Hated the 142 stairs up each time, but did not gain weight this cruise - yeah! Like another reviewer, our room had some engine noise and I agree with them that it was white-noise and so I slept the best I ever have on any ship. Captain was funny and crew were pleasant. The ship is smaller and a bit older, but it is still has the modern Azipods propulsion system, so no need for tugboats. We would sail with this ship and Captain again.
The ports we liked were San Juan, St Croix (because we visited an avian sanctuary there), Dominica (their Botanical Gardens), St. Kitts (visiting The Clay Villa and the shopping afterwards), St. Thomas (had a great walk to town along the ocean) and St Martin (nice pedestrian street and beach front to walk around).
I did not enjoy Granada because it was over-run with aggressive locals hawking taxi and walking tours. No matter where we went on that island, they would come at us from everywhere and follow us around - even wait outside of a store until we came out again!! "No thanks " was not part of their vocabulary. I got so overwhelmed by these guys, that I asked that we return to the ship. And I enjoyed visiting the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, so I am not a light-weight tourist!! We didn't visit Antigua as a port because they continue to hunt whales with Japan, which is unnecessary these days. But that is just our personal view and Antigua from the ship looked quite colourful and well-kept.
