Our first Viking cruise will not be our last! We loved it- especially in comparison to the "big" ships of our past. We loved: the small ship, fewer people , every thing just steps away, seeing the same people on side trips , in 7.lounge, above deck, at breakfast., on the bus.. you began to feel like a community. The food was .great, the wine lovely. The lounge was like your family's living room- 5 minutes to my stateroom from one end of the ship to the other.the veiw from the top deck was always enchanting- even in the rain.We loved our ports of call- Metz, Passau, Rottemberg, Nuremberg. Side trips were well planned and very informative and enjoyable. The pace was very relaxing. We took the end package to Prague. 3 days well spent in the Czech republic. Prague, although it has a graffitti problem, was lovely. We took an 8 hour walking tour and the time flew by.
We were in the last cabin on the bottom deck before the crew quarters and it was stll quiet, spacious and lovely. We had a window at duck level! We enjoyed watching their antics.
