This was my first time on Carniva Cruise Line and I have to say I enjoyed the "Fun ship" vibe. The Valor itself is a beautiful ship decorated with Americana theme, if you're not into themes it may annoy you - however I found it to be charming and cool.

The inside cabins are larger than those I've seen on NCL and they are comfortable and affordable. We stayed in deck 7 which is a GREAT deck to be in, specially midship. Deck 7 has most of the suites there and there is a reason for that, it is the most quiet deck on board and hosts the best stewards in the ship.

We much rather have the freestyle dining option we are used to at NCL but the set seating time made it quicker to get our table and it was fun getting to know the same waiters and have them perform for us every night. The food left much to be desired, although some nights were good - most of them were just ok. We tried the Scarlett restaurant, and that is a whole other thing - EXCELLENT food and service, it's a must to anyone doing this ship and the cover fee is more than reasonable for what the quality offered there.
