This Danube River cruise was our 4th Viking River cruise and we have always enjoyed them. It is a great way to see Europe without having to pack up every day and move to another place. This cruise however was disappointing. The reason for this is the "rafting up" the boats do when they dock. Out of 8 nights, 6 were tied up next to another boat so when we opened our curtains, we were looking into someone's bedroom on another boat. I wouldn't have minded as much if we had paid for a cabin below without a french balcony but why pay the extra money to have no view but another bedroom? When we made our reservations we should have been told that there was not enough dock space and this was a possibility. It was definately not what we paid for. We also found the excursions were not as interesting as the other cruises we have been on.

The food was delicious and rooms comfortable .
