First, the itinerary! Due to bad weather we got into New York 2 days late, then had to miss 2 nights in Bermuda. Seas were rough all through the cruise.
This is a nice ship, nearly new, with contemporary decor. The main decks are very open plan, thus gave a feeling of lots of space. But, it also meant there were no nice cosy areas. All the bars were in open areas. Would have been nice to have a Pub type bar to relax in!
The entertainment in general was poor. Looking at a typical daily program, if I put a line through all the seminars, teeth whitening, diamond sales, acupuncture, spa, art auctions, casino shopping, etc,etc then it did not leave much to do. For "enrichment" read "pay"! The main theatre shows were so so, lots of effort. But there was no alternative to this main show! Or nothing to do after it! Unless you liked gambling, or cramming in to see the pianist singer who was great if you are over 70. Don't these Cruise Directors realise that even 70 year olds grew up listening to the music of the pop and rock era? Not wartime singalongs.
