This is our first Cruise ever.

We are still currently in Florida after travelling on the Celebrity Eclipse from Southampton on November 9th 2014. I have seen a few complaints regarding this particular cruise with regards to the itinery change to avoid bad weather, in stead of going directly to New York and then to Bermuda, the Captain decided (in the interests of passenger safety) to sail to Medeira and then on to New York and therbye avoid this extremely bad weather, now I for one accept that decision as I heard that one ship that made the journey lost two lifeboats whilst making this crossing, so the weather must have been bad.

As for the Eclipse, what a great ship and the trip was very reasonably priced, we had a balcony cabin #3903 and we had a great time just a little rocking and swaying as we left Southampton. This a beautiful ship, extremely well designed and the shows were of a very high calibre, so worth every penny and nice to know that our safety was their main concern, I wonder if these complainers would have prefered extremely high waves and five days of sea sickness, I don't think so, but if you are going to cruise you must expect the unexpected, yes, we were dissapointed in not visiting Bermuda, but the journey itself made up for that.

Great Cabin, very quiet, great sense of space, none restricted view from the veranda.
