A little info about us to lead off. My husband and I have been on 26 Celebrity cruises, and this was our fourth on the Summit. We are around 60 years old, and took the cruise looking for a relaxing experience.

Embarkation: This was possibly the best ever. We got to the port around 12:30 and we did not even have to wait in line. We were on the ship within 15 minutes or less. We went directly to the buffet as the rooms were not yet ready, and were shocked to find it nearly empty. We suspect this was due to people arriving on later flights. Like always, we flew in the day before and enjoyed a leisurely morning at the Embassy Suites near the airport before heading over to the port. We were able to go to our rooms at 1:30.

Safety drill: Possibly the worst ever. We have been to more than 30 of these, but this was the most disorganized we had ever seen. The right hand did not seem to know what the left hand was doing. For anyone who was new to cruising, it would certainly not have instilled a sense of safety.

Cabin Review

Aqua Class

Cabin A1

Nice, quiet location with easy access to Blu and the buffet. Rooms fairly new so in good condition. Balcony a bit small, with no footstools like on S class. Balconies for these rear rooms vary a bit due to location. This room had the smallest of the lot.
