We took a Disney Cruise during Thanksgiving 2014. The cruise went to St. Marteen and San Juan. Overall, the cruise was ok. The food quality was not near as good as the last Disney Cruise we went on. The dinner's were good at best and not the top of the line quality we have been accustom to on prior Disney Cruises. The portions were very small. For Thanksgiving main dinner meal we were at The Royal Court, and had two small slices of turkey that tasted like microwave turkey and an ice cream scoop size of sweet potatoes. The dinner rolls were hard every night, so soft bread on any night. The bread did not taste fresh at all.
For breakfast, I had to ask about the eggs as they were not scrambled fresh. After inquiring, they finally informed me they were brought onto the ship as liquid eggs in large containers. If I wanted fresh eggs I would have to order special order eggs such as "over easy". They also had donuts, but they tasted like week old Krispy Kreme donuts and looked exactly like Krispy Kreme donuts.
The activities and shows were great. My daughter absolutely loved the kids teen club and met new friends.
Our cabin was nice. We opted for the verandah this time and the size of the room was a little bit larger than previous cruises. The location of the cabin was in the aft end of the boat and was the last room with a verandah, the cabin next to us (further aft) was an ocean view without verandah. I defintiely would go with the verandah as we liked to sit out on the porch. We had adjoining cabin with our parents and opened up the divider on the verandah to expand to 2 - verandah size. The last verandah room is a little cheaper as it is a navigators verandah but we found it was just fine.
