This was our second cruise on RCCL. Last was on Freedom of the Seas. "We" includes myself 44yo, my 41yo wife and 13yo son. Let me start by saying that we love cruising. It really fits our relaxed lifestyle and is perfect for our independent son who is an only child. I see so many bad reviews and I wonder if maybe they don't have the right attitude to enjoy cruising. Yes, there are going to be some problems and sometimes you have to wait for things and sometimes there are scheduling snafus, but if you can just relax and go with the flow, things will be much easier for you. I also see people complain about unfriendly service. Of the 50+ crew members we dealt with, there wasn't an unfriendly one in the bunch. They went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. That may be because we treated them like people and showed an interest in their lives rather than treat them like indentured servants. Funny what a little kindness will do!

Here are some thoughts on the food:

-We loved the food in the main dining room. I am amazed that they can put out such quality food in such large quantities. I had roasted duck and lamb chops which are easy to mess up and they were both outstanding. We did the my time dining and it worked great for us.

Cabin Review

Boardwalk View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin B1

Overall we loved this room.Positives: During stormy sea days, we were still able to use our balcony as we were protected from the wind and rain. Noise from the boardwalk was never a problem for us. If we sealed our balcony door, we could only hear outside noise if there was a show going on at the Aqua Theater.Negatives: Great view into the rooms on the other side of the boat, so don't forget to close your curtains!
