Firstly, my husband and I really enjoyed the back to back cruises we did on Celebrity Constellation starting on November 24th, 2014 We had a 5 day cruise to Cozumel and Key West, followed by a 9 day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. Overall, we had a wonderful time.

First the pros. The ship is beautiful, although it may show some wear and tear in places, but nothing dramatic. Easy to get around in. The staff was amazing as always on Celebrity. The new espresso Bar (and pastry display) Il Bacio, was great although it had long line ups in the mornings as it was the only espresso bar on the ship until 4 pm. You would have to wait along with waiters to get the coffees, so times were long. That said, the Baristas were amazing, especially Alexander and Mickey. The Blu restaurant for Aqua guests was beautiful. Well organized, well staffed, but the wait for wine was long as the Sommelier seemed always pressed for time. The food was very good. The staff accomodating to the extreme. No waits here. Blu is only open for breakfast and dinner. I wish it were open for lunch as the cafeteria food was atrocious and boring. We did not get a chance to try the Creperie, known as Bistro on Five, but we heard nothing but great feed backs. A seven dollar fee applies to eat there. It was never busy (probably due to the fee!) The Aqua Class cabins were the usual size, with an upgraded shower fixtures (Grohe). The Aqua class cabins are on deck 9 and deck 11 which is the very top of the ship. We were on deck 9 and unfortunately had a noisy cabin with the pool venues right above the 9th deck and a noisy service door right across our cabin which starting banging shut from 7 a.m. on. Noisy during the day, but thankfully quiet at night. I will try deck 11 next. I had a look at it and it is very quiet and isolated from the rest of the ship. No noise at all. Better views as deck 9 suffers from the pool deck overhang, and it does block the sun and makes you feel somewhat closed in. Service by wait staff was amazing, as always. Our concierges, first Jose Fernandez and then on the back to back to Caribbean, Darkam. Excellent service. The computer center is in the middle of deck 9, which is also a plus if you need help. The various on board shows on the Constellation Theater were excellent. Better than on our last cruise. I think an effort is being made to present better quality shows. Our cruise director, Rich, was super fun and an excellent host. And then there is Captain Tasos. What can I say about Captain Tasos?!!! The man is greek and the youngest captain ever on Celebrity. He has the most amazing sense of humour and is so very approachable. He was everywhere on the ship, when not at the helm. He often would put "the pedal to the metal" as he would announce in his daily 10 am itinerary report. We would all wait for these announcements as they always made us laugh! Be sure to take in "the Liars Club" show which he is a part of! Absolutely hilarious.

Now the cons. Found the Connie was a bit short on staff compared to other ships, such as the Silhouette. My biggest complaint was the quality of the food at the Oceanview cafeteria on deck 10. Food was bland, tasteless, cold and mostly not up to par with Celebrity. We were extremely disappointed overall. Deserts were tasteless. Even the beautiful cupcakes were disappointing when they had them. Staff again was great, but this did not make up for the poor food quality. We ate there at lunch only, because there was not much other choice. Thank goodness for Blu. It is the best feature of the Aqua Class. Out waiter Mentor was a total gem.
