I traveled with my husband, but my sister and daughter went with us for the BVE.....they were waiting for us when we got to the pier (11:00 am) and we were on board by 11:30 am. We were asked if we wanted a tour, declined, dropped our bags in the stateroom, and started our own tour of the ship.

The ship is absolutely gorgeous, we had previously sailed the Royal, so pretty much knew our way around her. We had a mini suite, with was really nice and very well appointed, lots of storage.

The interned worked fine in the cabin and anywhere we went in the ship (sometimes slow as expected). No more paper patter for us, since you can see it on your mobile device, that worked well too.

Spacious and lots of storage. Balcony was big.
