We were part of a large group on the Celebrity Silhouette departing November 30, 2014 from Port Everglades (Ft. Lauderdale). We arrived by car. We had experience with arriving at Terminal 25 so we knew what to expect, unfortunately we were among the minority. It is one of many Port Everglades terminals that make embarkation difficult. There is not adequate space, lane markings, or signage to direct you towards the drop-off area which makes for mass confusion as you try to maneuver through the throngs of arriving busses, taxis, shuttles, and private vehicles. I don’t blame Celebrity for this. We unloaded our car and then waited by the curb for our poor driver to make his way to the terminal from the distant parking garage.

Once inside the terminal, things went pretty quick. We had booked Aqua Class and got to get in the priority lane. We were on the ship within 10 minutes. Note to future cruisers. The bathrooms in the terminal are a joke. One urinal and one commode in the men’s room. Long line. You have been warned.

Once on the ship it was the usual first day confusion. Nobody knowing where to go or what to do. Fortunately we did. Our group headed to the pool deck and grabbed a lounge chair waiting for the staterooms to be ready. I grabbed my suit out of my carry on and headed the bathroom to change. I was in hot tub bliss for the next hour when the announcement was made that we could go to our stateroom. We then went to grab a bite at the Oceanview Café (not that crowded) and then up to the Sunset Bar where we parked ourselves until the Muster Drill. Afterward, we hung out for about 15 minutes until the elevators cleared and headed for the Sky Lounge to sit and have drinks while the ship sailed out of port.

Great cabin close to the elevators. Very quiet. Great view.
