It was my first cruise and, honestly, I was very unimpressed with how tacky the decor is throughout this ship. The impressionist theme is done cheaply and excessive use of colors and fittings abound. Even the light pink in the cabins is a misfit and makes it look like a 70's motel.

With that out of the way let's check the rest. The highlights in my opinion were the service - attentive, always with a smile and never apologetic, quite and accomplishment in such a large ship - and the pool area as there were always loungers available even on sunny sea days.

The food was OK, good in the main restaurant with menu service, but not being an American, I found the buffet to be too heavy-handed on grease and deep fried food. For snacks or a quick bite I tried to steer away from the burger and burritos and ordered healthier options from the deli.

Balcony

Cabin 8C

Apart form the horrible color palette, the cabin was good enough. There was plenty of closet space, the bed was hard but comfy enough for me and the balcony, of course, makes all the difference. As expected the bathroom is small but works quite well, especially the shower curtain that works effectively preventing water from getting all over the floor (a pet-peeve of mine, I admit). There were two power outlets and that was more than enough for my needs, but the ceiling lighting was too bright and white for my taste.
