We booked a transatlantic on the Eclipse next spring so having never sailed Celebrity we decided to do a trial run. I that cruise is as good as this I will be very happy.
Both embarkation and debarkation were nicely handled. Luggage arrived promptly.
Ship is laid out simply with no blocked off areas requiring detours to get to dining areas like some ships. VERY MUCH like the limited smoking policy including no smoking in the casino or on balconies! Decor and ship art is simple elegant with a touch of eclectic in the sculptures and art. Wish the promenade went all the way around but it was adequate for walks.
Our cabin (6044) was just back of the forward elevators over an entertainment deck. Despite this not any trouble with noise at all and bow spray was minimal. Good access to the theater, solarium and casino. A bit small by most standards, but well organized. The bed was a double instead of queen size but was very comfortable. Bath was very good with good storage and a n adequate size shower. One feature I like was the night light in the bathroom.Balcony was a bit shabby and did not like the translucent dividers.
