This was our 11th cruise with RCI. We cruise out of Bayonne every Thanksgiving, this time it happened to be on Quantum. We are Diamond Plus with RCI and travel with two other families in suites. The only benefit from booking a suite this trip was the Coastal Kitchen, it was a great restaurant and the staff was amazing. The Concierge Lounge was a nice area, but the placement of the lounge was abysmal. I feel bad for the folks with rooms on deck 12 who had to put up with all the traffic in those hallways! The service in the lounge was awful. It was standing room only most nights, and we'd be there for an hour and a bartender would be by once during that time. What a waste of a benefit.

The areas that impressed us most were:

- The forward solarium - this area was quite useful for adults, the pools geared to seating and relaxing regardless of the outside weather. It was a beautiful space with the full view in front of the ship.

Cabin Review

Owner's Suite with Balcony

Cabin OS

The Owner's Suite was gorgeous. It was not fully furnished however, there were loose wires in the cabinets, ethernet cables and power cords for a future installation of something, DVD equipment most likely. We had two televisions but only one remote for the suite. The suite door would not fully open, it would only open halfway and that was pushing it hard. It would not fully close, you had to really pull it closed. The alarming part of the door was the day it would not open, the handle literally would not operate so we were stuck inside the room. The balcony has gorgeous views because it sticks very far out from the side of the ship. Beware however, because when the ship is sailing, guess what that means?? The wind hits your balcony and the wind noise is tremendous, we had constant whistling and wind noise, to the point where all of the balcony furniture blew to the very back of the balcony from the wind (no hurricane or storm either). The ceiling over the tub was dripping water into the tub. Our dining room table was supposed to have four chairs, we had three. On a positive note, we did not have noise or sounds from adjacent rooms.
