Our first cruise. We wanted to see the islands of hawaii and the lava flows from sea as we went round the Big island as was advertised even upgraded to a balcony cabin o we could watch thd soectacular dhow from our balcony. Flew from London to L.A. and then separate flight to Honolulu so a very expensive holiday. We had never been on a cruise before so didnt know what to expect . Paid for soft drinks package on board on arrival as bottle of water was $6. Were allowed one bottle at a time so either share or pay another package fee. Cabin was horrendous dont be fooled by the photos there isnt room to swing a cat your bathroom is a plastic pod there is hardly and space for your clothes. Only about 4 free restaurants (if you can call them that) one includes an american diner ugh! Buffet awful one of you has to grab a table and sit down while the other goes for food and then the second one goes so eating a meal together is virtually impossible if you want to eat anywhere half decent together then you pay extra to enter think it was an extra $50 for the steakhouse! Drinks very expensive. The highlight of our holiday watching the lava flows from the ship didnt even take place no announcements boat left port and was sailing in opposite direction we rang concierge to ask what was happening to be told no lava that night not going round the bottom of the island!! No announcements no apologies waste of time. All in all a complete waste of time and money on a tacky ship dont bother!!
