Took my parents (88 & 90) and my daughter and grandson (14mths) on a cruise out of Galveston. Monday Dec 1 it was warm but raining. Weather online showed scattered showers all week so we were not happy. To my suprise I woke up Tues morning to a warm balcony and sunlight that continued for the entire cruise. I've been on many cruise lines and cruises (30) so I can speak from experience. This is a ship filled with first time cruisers or all ages and due to its inexpensive price it attracts many different passengers. Our cabins were side by side on the verandah almost all the way back on starboard side and it has a partial covering which is good for sun and rain. We are all Platinum so we had priority boarding, debarkation and dining. The entire ship was a great help with my grandson. It made cruising easy for my daughter. My parents were well taken care of.

Cabin was clean, food was good, entertainment featured the older longer shows not the short ones of today. We sat by the pool most days and enjoyed the music and activities. Went to High tea and got off and did our own things in port since we have been on this itinerary many times. It was so hot we saw many with bad sunburns!! We cruise every year at this time with my parents and usually have a cold first and last day but this time it was really warm and wonderful. The worst part of the cruise was waiting for a wheelchair for my mom. It took over an hour and that has never happened before. Dense fog set in the day we returned so we were able to stay on the ship until 1pm and even go up for lunch since the new passengers could not board until much later. We had the military discount and onboard credits from my travel agents that covered the gratuities. The total bill for all 3 cabins sign and sail acct was about $250. The ship has been renovated, is clean and looks good. Lines were minimal. I wish they had a specialty restaurant where the salsa club is located.
