Just got back from our 7 night cruise on the NCL Breakaway on Dec.7th. The ship is beautiful. We had great food & service in the free dining rooms. We are Platinum Latitude members ,so we received coupons for Le Bistro & La Cucina restaurants which include wine. Le Bistro has really good food, but terrible coffee, even though they feel it is so special, due to the coffee press. Avoid the coffee. La Cucina has cold and inferior food, & lousy coffee. Also the chairs are so uncomfortable ,we all had back pain when we got up to leave. You can get better food in the frozen section of your super market. If you want good Italian , wait till you get home & stop at Olive Garden!

The mini suites have large bathrooms, but the balconies are pathetic. You have to sit side ways to sit on them. You can not stretch out like you can on most ships. The doors to the cabins are very narrow as are the corridors, making it extremely difficult for anyone ( like my wife) in a wheelchair or walker to get through them. I had to move the cabin stewards trolley out of the way, every time we went down the corridor, so my wife could get through. The towels & wash cloths in our bathroom were always dingy & grey !! Do not think they use bleach.

Our cabin wasn't not always cleaned properly & unless you ask the glasses are never replaced. The closet is sideways almost up to the bed & only one person can access it ,at one time. Also the sliding door should have been the three swinging doors that are common on the other NCL ships. Cabin noise is terrible. Do not feel there is much sound deadening materials between walls & ceilings & floors. The cabin lighting is very poor. Women will need a spotlight at the vanity to apply their makeup & fix their hair.
