Traveled with children

We traveled the week after Thanksgiving and found that there was a good mix of demographics on the ship - possibly trending more towards a younger crowd (but not that many children). As we expected, with a port heavy itinerary, there were more active, middle aged passengers.

Overall, the ship was in good shape, the beds were comfortable and everything in good condition, and our Sky Suite had a nice sized balcony and huge bathroom (by ship standards) with extra amenities that we enjoyed.

We also enjoyed the itinerary - the ports all had great beaches and the options for other activities as well. We did not use any of the ship excursions since we prefer to plan our own or just explore independently (visit beaches, etc.) depending on what we feel like doing that day. We did find that at some of the ports the vendors/taxi drivers were a bit more aggressive (not scary, but a little irritating at times) and of course it pays to do advance due diligence here on cruise critic about all of the ports if you are considering doing an excursion or sightseeing on your own, because we were often given misinformation by the port visitor centers or other vendors trying to steer us toward their recommendations (where they were likely to be compensated).

Cabin Review

Sky Suite 1

Cabin S1

This room has the biggest bathroom that I've seen on a ship with a tub and a shower and double sinks - you can look on YouTube for a video. It has a nicely sized balcony, but cabins above and around you can see down into the balcony, so be aware! I can't figure out why the mini refrigerators are never cold, but this one was no exception, it just cools things a bit, but doesn't really keep them cold. The beds were comfortable, the closets a bit on the small side, and no outlets in the bathroom. This suite can be adjoining to the penthouse suite in the back.
