just disembarked from the 23.11.14 sailing which had Bali and Komodo substituted by Saigon and Bangkok so I thought I'd write this review at the airport.

So firstly I want to say corporate Celebrity have not covered themselves in glory on communication or a sense of customer care so far, I hope it improves as discussions on the substitution of tropical island paradise for two noisy busy cities where we moored in working (24/7) container ports 2 hours away and genuinly in the middle of nowhere continue. An example of how badly supported the crew and customers were was Saigon where there was no currency facilities, made worse by the restricted trading of the Dong, and the remoteness of the location which meant taking an on board excursion was the only option; suited some didn't suit us. The complete lack of or mearest hint of apology from the Captain in his welcoming speech compounded by his near invisibility on the cruise re-enforced the lack of senior corporate presence; I happen to think the use of future cruise credits as a form of recompense is an insult to many customers who may not cruise regularly.

However what could have been a miserable experiance turned out to be a very happy one on the ship, there is no dilution of the emotional impact of this changed itinerary but we had to decide if we would be open minded and accepting of the efforts of the crew. It was evident that it's a smaller older ship so why moan when you know what your buying, there was no major issues for us in decor and amenities.
