We have been 4 times in GSC since 2009 and we love it, they made big improvements since last time we were there in 2013. They now have a Tram that take you to the Cabanas and to the lagoon, which is about 10-15 min walk if you don't take the tram which start right at the dock when you get off the tenders, just walk to the left just by the shore excursions cabin.The island has different beaches, the main beach is the party beach, crowded and noisy, the band stand is right between the main beach and the Bacardi Bar beach. Cabana bay is more quiet, and the lagoon is super quiet but attract more families with kids because they want to be away from the party goers at the main beach.They have 2 different type of cabanas, 10 of each, small for up to 6 people and large for 8. they come with a refrigerator, lounge chairs and towels and waiter service for drinks and food, beach is right in front just a few feet away, the large cabanas are in top of a little hill so you need to get up and down some stairs to get access to it.overall very happy with all the improvements the have made to the island, and it seems like is more to come.

Great Stirrup Cay

we been in Nassau many times and always go to Atlantis for the Waterpark, this time we just wanted to walk around, so we went to the Junkanoo beach next to the Colonial HIlton hotel 5 minutes on the right of the port just to see it because the weather was nice, we walked to the old distillery and the Bahamas national art gallery, and to the Fort by the hospital and climbed the Queen stairs. all in about 1 -2 miles of the port, no need for taxi, just walk around, keep in mind the city is built in a hill and not very pedestrian friendly.

Nassau

Port side cabin, Forward, right off the elevators. Queen size bed next to the balcony with a couch. Balcony was small, just plenty of room for 2 chairs. There was a coffee maker and refrigerator and safe in the room. Just enough room for 2 adults, plenty of storage room for your clothes and stuff, no so much for your bags, but we stowed them underneath the bed. Bathroom was nice, just enough. Shower is a good size, not too big, but plenty of room.

We had cruised 8 times before, all of them on NCL, 3 on the Gem, 3 on the Jewel, 1 on the Dawn, and I on the BA last summer to Bermuda so for us was not a new ship, so we went straight to our cabin, in deck 14, literally we were the first one in the whole floor, we boarded AFT and our cabin was FWD, so we walked the whole deck and all the cabins were ready and open.SECOND CITY COMEDY CLUB was OK, I am not a big fan of comedy but they did great, we saw the 11 pm show, for adults only and was good, last time in july we saw the 7 pm show, so it was a family show with a lot of kids and teens attending.
