Sail Date: Dec 2014

We just returned from a four night cruise out of Long Beach going to Catalina, Ensenada, Mexico and having a relaxing day at sea. Unfortunately, we had rain when we docked in both Catalina and Ensenada, but it wasn't heavy and those who chose to explore had no problem doing so. The day at sea was lovely, sunny, and everyone was grateful.

This is a smaller ship which makes it easy to get around and not get lost ( like we did on both our voyages on the SPLENDOR). Because of its size, you get to see and meet many of the same people, so it's a warm, friendly atmosphere.

The food, like on all Carnival ships, is delicious, varied and irresistible. The dining room staff were very attentive and friendly. The buffet on the Lido deck offered a lot of choices for lunch, all very good. The pizza (pepperoni) was very good as was the ice cream and yogurt. The coffee on the ship is excellent.

Cabin Review

Cabin king sized bed

We always get an inside cabin as we only come to the room to change for dinner, sleep or change into a swim suit to wear on the adults only Serendipity Deck, a very nice treat for quiet and for reading or chatting in one of the two adult only hot tubs. The cabins have three good sized closets, robes, a dresser and a shelf. The bed and pillows and covers were VERY comfortable. We slept very well each of the four nights.
