Being in the travel industry, I've become a "cruise ship snob." It takes alot to impress me these days as many ships and lines cut corners. Not the Diamond Princess. She is amazing. Quite large, but never felt very big. The any time dining restaurants were the best I've seen. Four choices, all having a different theme. We met for an amazing meet and greet prior to boarding and just hung out with amazing people throughout the cruise. New Years eve in the high seas was my dream.....watching 25,000 balloons drop at midnight was spectacular. The ship was clearly incredible, but the ports were more so....Sydney soon became my favorite city. I can't wait to return to different parts of Australia and see the Diamond again. The shows were mediocre, but the food was good.......You go on this venture for the pure experience of the Aussie and Kiwi culture....Didn't disappoint.
