My wife and I needed a last minute, relaxing getaway from our Florida home so we turned to a source we knew we could count on, Celebrity.

This was our 12th Celebrity cruise and our fourth sailing on a Solstice class ship. While certainly not as intimate as cruising the smaller Seabourn, Paul Gauguin, Azamara, or even a Millennium class ships, we are seldom disappointed on Celebrity’s newer Solstice class fleet.

We chose a ten day Caribbean cruise on Equinox over Thanksgiving, featuring ports we have visited numerous times in the past. For us, this cruise wasn’t about the ports but rather the relaxing FOUR sea days aboard Equinox. Despite sailing at capacity during a major USA holiday with over 1800 passengers, we managed to carve out a peaceful little piece of real estate in our fan tail facing, corner Sky Suite. With an oversized balcony and panoramic view of the ship’s wake and rear port side, we loved the gently rolling seas and spacious cabin. We booked cabin 2151 located on Deck 12 directly beneath the aft portion of the Oceanside Grill. While we did hear chairs moving about in the late afternoon, the noise wasn’t a big deal and was a small trade-off for the incredible fantail view we enjoyed while underway.

Very comfortable bed as well!
