Check in was atrocious with some of the longest lines I can remember. We brought 2 bottles of wine and water with us. We were required to go to a special table so RCI could check to see they were sealed. Really? Intimidation tactics at work. This is a new practice it seems. When we finally approached the desk to register, we could see through the windows that muster had started on board. When we walked on board we literally walked into our muster station, carry on bags in hand. That was a first after 20 cruises.
Food was scarce the time we boarded as everything had shut down for muster and were starving after traveling all day.
About the Serenade, she's a little long in the tooth with worn fixtures, some rust and corrosion. The vinyl laminate in the cabin drawers and bath cabinets were worn allowing the particle board underneath to swell and bubble out.
