Just arrived home from a cruise on NCL's Pride of America and had a very enjoyable time. We were a little concerned before we left after reading some of the other reviews but decided to go with an open mind. This was our seventh cruise and the fourth cruise line we have traveled with and in general our group was very pleased. The main purpose of this type of cruise is to get you from island to island without spending all your vacation in airports. If you go with that in mind, you should have no problem.
We had no problem with get seating in the main dining room but we did eat when they first open their doors. We did not find anything on the menu we did not like. Service was not always up to par but we could live with that. The Aloha cafe was mostly busy but it offered a wide range of food to pick from, Cadillac Diner was also enjoyable. We did not go to any of the specialty restaurants because we would hear difference experiences from our fellow passengers. With them having cover charges and having to make reservation, we decided to pass on them.
Our cabin was always clean, beds turned down, ice available and two nights having towel animals to greet you. We felt our stewardess was worth an extra gratuity before we left which she seemed to appreciate. Remember to turn the dial by the door when you leave so they would know when you were out of the room.
