Our second cruise - our first on Princess - was a great success from start to finish. Those who look for the negative find it, and those who look for the positive find that too! We had a fabulous time. We parked at ParkNGo in Fort Lauderdale, for half the price of the cruiseport and were really pleased with the service. They met us at our vehicle (open air, fenced lot), unloaded our luggage, provided a free shuttle to the terminal AND back and were extremely fast, efficicent and friendly. I highly recommend them.

Check in was efficient (why do people carry crates of bottled water? It makes no sense to me) and we were on the ship within 90 minutes of arriving at the Fort Lauderdale ParkNGo. We went straight to our cabin to freshen up and then after a lovely lunch, we returned to our cabin to find our luggage had arrived - so efficient!

Send off after Muster (I really don't like having to don a lifevest, but I do what I'm told!) was about 15 minutes late, which just gave us more time to enjoy a drink on deck and look forward to the open sea! This ship did not seem to have many college students or young children, (we've had both in our home, but we prefer to cruise without them!) so it seemed like the music wasn't blaring, and there was a bit more of an "adult" feeling to the entire cruise, which we liked.

Cabin J

This is a great room! It's right next to the area where the dirty dishes are collected. But there was no noise! We liked that we didn't have any neighbors and were a bit secluded. There was a bit of a vibration on the first day, but after that we didn't really notice it. This room is well laid out, very efficient. We didn't feel claustrophobic or boxed in. We keep the webcam on all the time so that we have a live view of the horizon which helps with any potential motion sickness. The bed was comfortable, and there was ample storage, drawers, a nice dressing area near the bathroom. We brought an over the door shoe hangar for extra storage but didn't use it. We brought extra hangers but didn't use them. The bathroom shower was small but not overly so, a little shelf under the sink was VERY helpful. I liked the 2 bedside tables and lamps. Two large mirrors make it seem much larger, and lots of light switches! Very impressed how they maximized the space. On this ship the doors are recessed from the hallway, so you step "in" to your doorway, which again, was a little touch, that made a big difference. Our names were on the door - not sure if I liked that or not - but it was nice to have a little place for our Patter, and not just get it under the door on the floor. It was also nice not to have to walk down the hallway and walk around room service trays, as that little recess kept things out of the hallway. Fridge was GREAT! and the ice bucket was always full. Great room service attendant - these people work HARD for their salary, tip them!
