This was an elopement/Thanksgiving/birthday cruise for my new hubby and myself. We had a wonderful time. What a great time to cruise on the "Love Boat!" :)

Embarkation was a breeze. We were in our cabin by 1:00 and by the time we got back from a short self-guided tour and lunch in the Horizon Court, our bags had already been delivered. The Horizon food was your typical buffet . . . lots and lots of choices (too many, in fact) which were very spread out. The Bistro portion of the Horizon serves healthier options, which we enjoyed. We laughed when we asked an attendant what the difference was and received this reply: "The Bistro food isn't as greasy." LOL.

Our first night in the MDR (Allegro) was a bit of a disaster and worried us. It seemed like they were TOTALLY unprepared for the late seating. Service crawled. The soup was so incredibly hot you couldn't eat it whereas my main meal was lukewarm at best. Thankfully, this was the only night we had a bad experience. From then out (perhaps because we expressed our concerns to the head waiter immediately), I'd have to say everything was fantastic. We did eat at the Crown Grill on two nights (once for our wedding meal and once for hubby's birthday). Steaks were on the rare side, which I don't mind, but DH sent his back . . . and it didn't improve much. Lamb chops were excellent. Formal nights in the MDR were also good; however, I didn't appreciate passengers coming in in shorts/flip-flops. Again, straight to the head waiter I went. Not sure anything was done. But, come on people, there are plenty of other options for casual dining. The dress code is clearly outlined in the daily Princess Patter. Unfortunate.

Very well laid out and nicely appointed. Excellent cabin service. On the first day we asked that our ice bucket be kept full and never had to ask again.
