Our cruise on Tahitian Princess exceeded our expectations. We travelled on Air Canada to LAX and then on Air Tahiti Nui. Transfer between planes on the way there was smooth (return was a challenge).Because we travelled largely in the daylight hours we were not too tired when we got to the ship at 9 or so on the evening. Embarkation was fast and after briefly checking out our cabin,we found the Panorama Buffet and had a quick bite before heading to bed.

The ship is elegant and smaller than most- 600 passengers. We really liked that aspect and didn't miss the masses of people, line ups etc that you experience on mega ships. There are many activities as well as intimate spaces for a drink(piano Bar and Club bar) and spots to read(beautiful library.)Our balcony cabin was perfect, the bed comfortable and the motion fine(fairly far aft.)The draperies, carpets etc were a bit worn and could use an upgrade.

We didn't attend any of the entertainment but enjoyed dancing in the Tahitian lounge, playing cards and movies under the stars. There was lots of choice for entertainment and options to be entertained in various venues. Friends really enjoyed the shows.
