This was my first Disney cruise but i have cruised numerous other lines. My parents are avid cruisers and it took some persuading to get them to agree to try Disney, but it turned out very well. My two daughters (ages 5 and 6) had a great time but when asked what they liked best, they said meeting all the characters was their highlight. I expected they'd want to be in the kids clubs all the time, but they were more into the Mickey Pool and meeting characters.

Pros: dining -- the rotational dining is completely new to us and we all loved the change of venue with the same servers; our servers, Joel and Endang, were professional, delightful, great with the kids (they cut up their food and did clever magic tricks), and gave us something to look forward to each evening. Each restaurant is completely different so it never got old in the least. This was a 5 night cruise (which is short to my well-traveled parents) and there are three restaurants in the rotation, so there was no chance to get bored. Quality of the food was exceptional. Disney has found a way to please both adults and kids at the same time. But i can't imagine doing the later dining with kids -- that would seem crazy late... the early dining didn't feel too early at all.

Entertainment was also exceptional, broadway-caliber shows with amazing costumes -- granted, the themes were for kids but the quality made it fun for all.
