I went on this cruise with my parents (in their 50's) and brought my nephew along (16). Due to the nature of the transatlantic, there were very few teenagers on board and my nephew was a little bored, but that was his own doing.
The embrakation took FOREVER, but that might be because we did not arrive until after 1pm. As we had 2 different cabins, and were traveling together we wanted to board together. However they had my parents notated in a different terminal and gave me greif over trying to enter together. The staff onsite in Miami were less than helfpul.
There were alway so many activities to do, between bingo, playing in the casino, at the pools and water slides, bowling, trivia, scavenger hunts, and this was just the day time. They also offered beer, wine, martini and margaritia tastings for a price (about 15). WIth the dueling paino's at night, comedy club, the comeidan, hypnotisit, Legends in Concert, Blue Man Group, it was hard to not have something to do.
The Epic has the odd shower/toliet sink split thing. Very odd but it does allow for more than one person to get ready at a time.
