I have to say, this trip was special. When we arrived in Paris, Delta had lost our luggage. Viking had someone stay at the airport near us while we did a claim. When we were done, they were ready to take us to the ship. We got to ride along with the chef (Rickie) who was coming off of vacation back home in Greece. It made the ride from CDG very pleasant.
Michael Bright, the cruise director, met us at the gangplank and already knew about our troubles. He told us Viking would pick up our laundry bill until we got our luggage, even if that meant the entire trip. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. Our luggage finally arrived at CDG airport when the ship had sailed to Vernon. A young lady took a car and drove back to CDG and produced our luggage at out room door at 11:03 PM on day three. That is service, not some hollow promise that most other businesses would give you.
Carlos, the Matre 'd, was on top of all things "food" if it related to service. When things got busy and they needed the help, he pitched right in. All in all, the crew made a great trip wonderful.
Good cabin. Mid-ship, left. Bedding, etc, was comfortable and it had enough room and storage space. Noise was kept to a minimum.
