This was our 3rd time on Explorer twice out of New Jersey and this time out of Port Canaveral . Where to start the ship was 1.5 hours late getting to port so when we arrived at 11am only half the people were off the ship. We had to stand in line out in the sun for 2 hours, it was very hot about 90 no one came out to offer us water or give us an idea of how long it was going to take before we boarded. when the line finally started to move after about an hour the terminal was full and the computers whent done so now no one can get on board. We finally got onboard about 230 went to the windjammer only to find not a seat in the place at least our cabin was ready a Jr suite # 1328. The stateroom was very clean and we were very happy right on the hump so a nice balcony. As we walked arount the ship I thought we were at a scooter convention they were every where we later found out the cruise had an average age of over 72 which meant there were only about 40 children on the cruise, getting back to the scooters, people should have to take lessons to ensure thaey know how to operate them we saw a man knock over a table in the windjammer and not even stop to tell any one he was sorry so some lost there entire breakfat which ended uo on the floor. while talking about scooters lets talk about people I never met so many RUDE people on a cruise you would have thought you were in new york city people just pushing there way through crowds ,stopping on a dime and standing like they were in a drunken daze. Now lets talk about the drinking I understand thast a money maker for RCCL but there was no control over how much people were allowed to drink some people were falling down drunk going to the bar and were served more, talk about an accident waiting to happen. We went to dinner and met our dining partners we were at a table for 10 but including my wife and i we were only 6 but we lucked out and got along great made some new friends. The service in the dining room left a lot of room for improvement I have never seen hot soup passed over some one to another because the waiter did not want to go to the other side and serve properly this happen more then once should we say every day also service was very slow not once did our waiter tell us what he would recommend, but I will say that our head waiter took very good care of us this was our first cruise where the head waiter came around to his tables at least 3 times during every seating and also would look for us in the windjammer for breakfast not only to ask how things were but to talk to us one on one about ourselves and to tell us about himself which we found very interesting.

Travel down to the islands was very windy almost got windburn instead of sunburn, we arrived at Aruba and hour late no one said any thing until we were alread past arrival time we thought the capitian would have cruised a little faster to get there on time no such luck so now our tour left an hour late did a bus tour with a beach stop nothing like getting to the beach at 4 pm and told by the way you onyt have 55 minutes . not very happy . next stop was Bonaire I do not want to see another cactus in my life or a wild donkey we took a 4x4 trip well about 10 mimutes after we leave we went though a violent rain storm needless to say we got soaked we booked this tour beacuse we were told Bonaire was not a place to go to the beach well this tour ends up going to a beach where we had about 30 minutes to look around found a chair to sit on and a man comes up and says you want the chair 8 dollars please back on the 4x4 to sit and wait to continue by the way 95 and blazing hot , still no sign of any pink flamingos next we visited the sea salt facility and were give a piece of raw sea salt and told we could keep it and take home with us NAH the ship took it away from us they said it was a rock but were not happy when we told them to taste it. Oh and about the flamingos we did finally see them as pets in some one back yard right nex to the dock. would not recommend going back top Bonaire not any where i want to visit again. next stop Cauraco best stop we booked beach by boat were taken to beach by boat nice ride over and the beach was beautiful not to crowded nice sun clear water and it included a chair ,a drink and 20% discoutn if we bought any thing this was our best day. now off to Labadee sea day up was very nice Labadee one of favorite spots always go to nellies beach hot as always 95 blazing sunny but the food on island left alot ot be desired this time.

Now on our way back to Port Canaveral did self assist and off the ship by 830 but there were those rude paople again we were all suppose to be in 4th deck dining room by 815 departure was 830 people came right at 830 and just assumed that they could just jump in the line where ever that felt I thought there was going to be a fiight because everyone in line started yelling at the people when the crew came over thery were like what do you want us to do ???? YOU JOB monitor the people just comming in .
