This was our second Celebrity cruise having saled on Royal Caribbean and Princess as well. The ship was beautiful and we loved our room. I had a minor unexpected visit to the hospital the day before we left which definitely put a damper on the trip. To start off, no one asked us what size table we preferred for dinner. We were seated with 3 other couples. My husband wears a hearing aiand cannot follow more than one conversation at a time. While they were lovely people, we never ate dinner in the dining room again. We ate most meals at the buffet. Food was ok, really liked how it was laid out, but the choices never changed much. The ice cream wasn't very good. Bar service was spotty. More often than not, I had to round up someone to serve us. The classic beverage package was ibcluded. My husband only drinks beer and just a few brands at that. He liked the convenience of the package but had we paid the $49 a day, it would have been a very poor value indeed. I liked soft drinks, bottled waters, fruit drinks and an occasional cocktail. The cocktails I had on this package were very poor. I would have been better served by just buying what I wanted when I wanted it. It would have beeb much less than the package. Sales in the shops were horribly crowded. I actually passed out trying to walk by. Never was able to get close enough to see what the commotion was. Shops seemed to have very limited items on sale. Seen better selection of jewelry, alcohol , etc on other cruise lines. My hospital stay prevened me from participating in water activities so we didn't do any excursions either. Not what we planned wben we booked it 10 monyhs ago. So, ship beautiful and clean. Service spotty ( had one server tell us to get our own coffee, he was from the bar), resented pushing specialty restaurants. We just don't eat like that anymore. Didn't attend any entertainment or casino. Wasn't crazy about the stos particulaly Jamaica. Probably won't take Celebrity again.
