With great sacrifice my wife and I spent the time and money to cruise with CELEBRITY on their ship MILLENNIUM from Hong Kong to Singapur (with stops in Vietnam, Thailand) - on November 9-16 2014. We had heard that CELEBRITY was better than PRINCESS or ROYAL CARIBBEAN and hence chose to give them a try. Though the ports of call were wonderful, cruising with on the CELEBRITY MILLENIUM was a disappointing experience. For the first 5-6 days of the cruise we had to deal with a water leak that soaked our rug. We had to wear shoes in our cabin in order not to get our socks or our feet wet. When Celebrity's maintenance finally fixed the leak then our main door wouldn't lock (you could open it by just pushing it.) When that was fixed a then we experienced problems with the water in our bathroom: WE HAD NO COLD WATER. We either had very hot water or scalding water,,, and neither was good for brushing our teeth or taking a shower. Out of the entire cruise our room was only ok for 2 days. For our problems we received an onboard credit for USD $200 and a USD $700 credit for a future cruise in CELEBRITY (probably would not risk cruising with them again.)

Besides the problems with our room, the ship is old in general (I believe it was remodeled in 2009 but not sure.) The food in the formal dining (4th floor) was mediocre to bad (very slow service from Iketu and Emmanuel, our waiters.) The buffet on the 10th floor was pretty good (better than Princess or Royal Caribbean.) The two pool areas were ok.
