The Pearl has always been my favorite ship, but I don't know ... the Jewel was close to perfect!

Embarkation: Very good. Got to the port around 11 and was onboard by 11:30. Well planned. The weather in Houston was not terrific -- 45 degrees and a little windy. Although it put a little bit of a damper on the Sail-away party, everyone still had a good time. Did not seem to have huge lines in The Garden Buffet, or maybe I was there so early I didn't notice it.

Cabin Steward: Victor Hugo was absolutely perfect!

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

9608. Wonderful cabin - quiet, just steps to the mid-ship stairs and elevators. Plenty of storage, cabinets, hangers. The 3 shelves in the bathroom held everything I needed. The bed was fine and the pillows were fantastic! Also, my towels all week were thick and plush and fluffy. What a treat. My cabin steward was Victor Hugo and he was absolutely perfect. Greeted me within 5 minutes of my arriving at my cabin, asked for any special requests -- did I want ice ever afternoon, coffee, cream, empty the refrigerator. He always had a big smile on his face, and that always put a big smile on my face. My stateroom was kept absolutely spotless, and was cleaned promptly every morning. No complaints there!ed it.
