Great Beach! we order a clamshell and once we tendered off to the snorkeling side of the beach. Very enjoyable until we had some folks decide they like were we had our clam shell and parked there towels right in front of us. Then were very loud. I really thought if we brought a clam shell we could get our own little piece of beach, guess not. I didn’t enjoy the looking at their backs. I think they were just rude!

Princess Cays

Well we hit a holiday again so the shops were all closed. We booked Capt Bob Soualiga for day snorkeling. After a short walk we found him and were led to our fast boat. I had email before I booked explaining we were seniors and needed a good study ladder and help getting in and out of the water -we were assured this was not a problem. Well the boat had basically no platform and it was a small metal ladder. I almost said this not going to work but I really wanted to snorkel. First We toured the lagoon which we had never seen before.  At the first stop --Matt (our capt for the day) said I will help you down (after I asked) and half way down he let go and down I went under water, just catching my RX mask . My DH watched in horror and didn’t even want to try. He stayed on the boat. Second stop was nice beach, shallow water and we both got into the water very nice. Next to eat lunch. We dock in the water and had to swim/walk to shore. Matt said it is not deep I will help you down. Well again he let go, down I went, the water was over my head so I was soaked and had to swim to shore. Yes I’m short but the water was over 5feet. Lunch was OK drinks not included. The next snorkel stop we need flippers because of the strong current. When I asked for a pair the only ones he had left were mismatched. There were none for DH! He suggested I just fall in backwards from the boat since you could not use the stairs with flippers. Needless to say my DH and I just watched everyone snorkel from the boat. .I almost cried that I couldn’t get into the water. On the way back we stop near the airport watched the planes come in, very cool. I would never use this operator again. Too many falsehoods-not enough equipment on board for all guests. No helping getting in and out of the water.

St. Maarten

- took ship tour St Johns Champagne tour. This was the best thing we did. The crew was great. The snorkeling was great. The rum punch was great. Saw lots of fish great sail back into port. We had hope to get back in time to do some shopping (since we couldn’t in St Marrtin) and maybe go up to Paradise point for a bushwaker. Well we off loaded went to the place to pick up the ship transportation. There were already 2 groups there. Since it We was a ship tour I wasn’t too worried when our crew took off with another group. We were out in the open with no shade, no water, and no bus! Had anyone taken a cell phone we could called the ship. We waited a long time ---how long OVER AN HOUR!

Extended balcony. Now the only thing is there lots of room on the balcony but the furniture was only to chairs and tall table. NO Lounger No way to put up your feet. And the it was floor was hard- So not happy to have paid a lot for a balcony that we could stretch out
